  • Combine crushed sandwich cookies, walnuts, and confectioners' sugar in a large bowl. Add coffee liqueur and corn syrup; mix well. Add more coffee liqueur, 1 teaspoon at a time, if mixture is too dry.

  • Pour cocoa powder into a shallow bowl. Shape cookie mixture into balls and roll in cocoa powder. Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.

Cook's Notes:

Any coffee-flavored liqueur would work.

Instead of cocoa powder, you can roll these in fine colored sugar, sprinkles, finely crushed walnuts, or Oreo(R) crumbs.

I used light corn syrup and I don't think that really changed the taste. I had to powder my hands with cocoa in order to roll them which created a mess. But the mess was worth the tastiness. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Read More
