Chocolate Sapote Smoothie

I've been experimenting with tropical fruit and sapote is really interesting. Its pulp is like chocolate pudding. This recipe is really simple and lets the black sapote shine. It's pure creamy, chocolaty goodness.

  • 1 black sapote

  • ice

  • 1 cup chocolate-flavored almond milk

  1. Break open the sapote and pull out the pulp. Discard seeds and skin.

  2. Combine sapote, ice, and almond milk in a blender; blend until smooth.

Cook's Notes:

Sapote is ripe when it starts to leak a black juice. You can leave it on your counter for quite a while until it's ready to go.
