  1. Rinse quinoa. Bring chicken broth to a rolling boil in a saucepan. Add quinoa and butter and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Cover and let simmer until tender, about 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes. Uncover and fluff quinoa with a fork. Season with salt and pepper.


  • Cook's Notes:
  • You can use water instead of chicken broth, if desired.
  • If any liquid remains after cooking, remove quinoa from heat as instructed, but let the liquid steam off, covered, for several minutes prior to serving.

I liked the buttery taste but somehow dislike the richness of it. The quinoa was still a little crunchy, which I like. I will do it again but use a little less butter.
