  • Rinse quinoa. Bring chicken broth to a rolling boil in a saucepan. Add quinoa and butter and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Cover and let simmer until tender, about 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes. Uncover and fluff quinoa with a fork. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook's Notes:

You can use water instead of chicken broth, if desired.

If any liquid remains after cooking, remove quinoa from heat as instructed, but let the liquid steam off, covered, for several minutes prior to serving.

I liked the buttery taste but somehow dislike the richness of it. The quinoa was still a little crunchy, which I like. I will do it again but use a little less butter. Read More
