Tahini is $15 a jar here but we love hummus so I often make it without the tahini.

Hummus is one of my favorite snack foods. I had once tried another tahiniless hummus and didn't like it at all, but this one was delicious! While tahini adds a unique flavor, I didn't even miss it. The seasonings were spot on as written, but I did end up adding a bit more lemon juice, personal preference. So easy to make, and I always have a can of chickpeas in the pantry!
