Directions

  • Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot(R)) and select Saute function. Add olive oil and warm until hot. Add chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, 5 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pour in water. Simmer for 1 minute while scraping browned bits off the bottom of the pot. Cancel Saute function. Close and lock the lid.

  • Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions and set timer for 10 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.

  • Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
