Garlic-Roasted Cheesy Brussels Sprouts

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet; sprinkle garlic and bacon evenly over the top. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons oil and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until sprouts are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, about 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Place sprouts in a serving bowl. Toss together and drizzle with remaining oil. Season with salt and pepper and top with Asiago cheese.

These are very good as is. The balsamic gives them a bit of a sweet taste that I will tone down in my next try along with fine tuning the baking time for golden brussels sprouts. I do however ha...

I only used 2 T of the oil; bacon supplied enough when roasting. Yes, would definitely make again. Takes the bitterness out of the Brussel sprouts.

I used wine vinegar instead of balsamic and added freshly grated parmesan. Absolutely a favorite of ours and company will not leave without the recipe!
