"This was my grandmother's recipe. She made us drink it. Many fond memories. Serve warm in mugs with whipped cream and marshmallows for an extra treat."

  1. Cut off the ends of the banana peels. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add 1 banana peel to boiling water. Turn off heat, cover, and wait for 10 minutes. Add 1 more banana peel. Wait 10 more minutes. Stir to incorporate flavors. Strain into mugs and serve warm.

I like to add a little apple cores to really bring out the banana peel flavor. It makes me feel extra frisky... ;-) Tastes like home.

GAM GAM has the best hot banana water around. I recommend eating the banana water with jumbo shrimp it really complements the texture.

Gam gam should be proud. This recipient brought a tear to my singular eye. However I recommend using 16 banana peels instead of 2 it adds quite the flavor to the boiling banana water.
