After trying numerous chocolate frosting, this one is the best.
This frosting is very delicious! Try using milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet for a sweeter taste!
Super easy and super delicious. Consistency allows for cupcakes to be dipped or can add powdered sugar for spreading on layer or sheet cake. We finished with sprinkles for a Valentine's birthday.
5 stars for taste—delicious!!!—but I would call this a glaze, not a frosting. It is VERY thin and drippy. I had to add a ton of sifted powdered sugar to make it more spreadable for a layer cake. It had a silky texture before I did this. If I'd had it to do over, I would have doubled the powdered sugar so it could melt properly. (Adding it later made the frosting grainy and clumpy.)
