  1. Combine confectioners' sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted. Reheat over low heat if frosting hardens too quickly; thin out with milk if needed. Add salt so frosting is sweet with a mild salty kick.

I added coarse sea salt on top so you get the idea that it is salted. I put this over a boxed cake. The result: magnificent.

This frosting is very delicious! Try using milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet for a sweeter taste!

Super easy and super delicious. Consistency allows for cupcakes to be dipped or can add powdered sugar for spreading on layer or sheet cake. We finished with sprinkles for a Valentine's birthday.
