  1. Melt butter in a deep saucepan large enough to fit all the cabbage. Add cabbage, water, dill, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer, mixing often, until tender, about 20 minutes. Adjust seasonings to taste.

A very tasty side dish and a perfect alternative to enjoy with corned beef instead of the traditional boiled cabbage. I did find there was way too much liquid in this, so I'd suggest simmering ...
