  • Place butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and vanilla extract in the bottom of an Irish coffee glass. Pour in rum and hot water. Stir.

Cook's Note:

I've never used the optional spices, and I have always used light rum. I also don't exactly measure my butter or brown sugar. I just place the dollop of butter in the mug along with the teaspoon of brown sugar. It's definitely a drink to warm you up.

I made mine with Captain Morgan Rum and added a bit more than a 'pinch ' of each spice. I also added more brown sugar and a splash of heavy cream. Very easy and quick to make. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Read More
