This chocolate buttermilk pie with whiskey and almonds is reminiscent of an old-fashioned chess pie. The whiskey and dark cocoa give it an added kick and the crunch from the almonds adds texture.

Loved this pie- was easy to make and used ingredients I had on hand except the vanilla bean paste. I subbed almond paste and it was still terrific! Read More

This is quite a rich pie. It has a slight brownie nut taste with a hint of whiskey. It would be great with homemade whipped cream. I used a butter based homemade pie crust. I would highly recommend making a thick and flaky homemade crust with this filling. Ty Read More
