Cake Pops with Strawberry Frosting
Do not use more than 2 tablespoons of icing for each cake portion, as this will make the mixture extremely soft and impossible to get firm. It will take some time for the icing and cake crumbs to bond.
The frosting is very heavy, so it will pull the cake ball down while drying completely. Therefore, I start by putting them on a separate cookie sheet lined with either parchment paper or aluminum foil. To speed up the drying process, you can place the pops inside a barely warm oven to pre-dry before placing in the styrofoam block stand.
