The sweet taste of the pickled ginger melds beautifully with the crisp asparagus. A great barbeque side dish that cooks alongside the meat. Always gets rave reviews.

Simple and delicious as written! I love an easy grilled asparagus. The pickled ginger gave the asparagus excellent flavor but visually it was not appealing. Not sure if it was a reaction to the foil, what pickled ginger does when it is cooked, or the specific brand I used but it had a grey/purplish color and the texture was no good so I discarded it prior to serving. It still seemed to lack in the tartness I love in asparagus so I garnished with lemon wedges. Excellent and one I will make again! Read More
