  1. Combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, apple, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until evenly blended.
  2. Shape the beef mixture into a loaf and place on a large piece of aluminum foil. Fold the foil up and around the edges of the meatloaf, creating a makeshift loaf pan.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup water into a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot(R)) and place the steam rack inside with the handles up. Place the meatloaf on top of the rack. Close and lock the lid; seal the vent. Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 25 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  4. Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.
  5. Release cooker pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid. Transfer meatloaf, still on the rack, to a baking sheet. Broil meatloaf in the oven until browned, about 5 minutes.
  6. Combine ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar in a small bowl. Brush over meatloaf and broil again until caramelized, 1 to 2 minutes.

Best meatloaf ever, from the Instant Pot!

Pretty good taste. Would like to know which size pot the author used, wondering if it made a difference. My meat came out done on the ends and sides, middle was extremely rare. meat thermometer ...

Will make it again; halved it this time. Will make the full batch next time. 1 lb. beef made 2 mini-loaves and just fit in the Instant Pot. Cooked it on Hi Pressure for 15 minutes + 10 min na...

I used ground turkey and changed nothing else and my family loved it.

I used a slightly different recipe. Ok a lot different. 25 minutes didn't fully cook the 2.25 lb loaf. 8 minutes in the microwave to finish it up. I just used Lipton onion soup mix, 1 egg, 1...
