- Combine water, miso, aminos, and bouillon base in a saucepan over medium heat. Sift cornstarch, onion powder, and garlic into the mixture and whisk until no lumps remain. Bring to a simmer; cook until thickened, 6 to 10 minutes.

- Tamari can be substituted for the liquid aminos.
- Look for non-GMO cornstarch, and make sure the cornstarch is made in gluten-free processing facilities.
