I made it and after reading the reviews I made the following adjustments: I used 3/4 cup beer with 1/2 cup water, 1 rounded tsp of garlic better than bouillon base, 3 heads garlic chopped, and 1 lb bag of baby carrots. Delish! Hubby loved it! Since it only cooks for 5 minutes, 2 cups off broth is too much, so I cut back on the amount.
