- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Add warm water, stirring constantly, until a pancake-like batter forms, about 2 minutes. Dip plantain slices into the batter.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Cook plantains in batches until golden, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook for 1 minute more. Drain on paper towels.

first batch i made with a very ripe plantain, lot of black spots on it, was decent. next batch with fresh plantains, not so good, no taste.
