Sheet Cake with Sour Cherries
This is the recipe of my friend's grandmother who's from Germany. I usually use pitted sour cherries in syrup (you can get them at Trader Joe's® sometimes), but you can also use fresh sweet cherries of course.

I have made this many times. I knew this was the recipe by the way it looked, NO mistaking it. But I did tweek it a bit. No cherrys so i used cherry pie filling. Not sure what else I did because we were at 7,2500 feet. Am not at cabin now and recipe is there. LOVE this. Done right and you will never go wrong. It's like a cookie cake not to sweet nor sour. Perfect! Thanks for sharing this, it IS a German recipe
