  1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and stir until the mixture becomes paste-like and light golden brown, about 5 minutes. Whisk in beef broth gradually. Cook and stir until no lumps remain, about 2 minutes. Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook and whisk until gravy thickens, about 5 minutes more.

Negate ketchup altogether. Made as directed (directions actually leave out ketchup) and family enjoyed it!

I did not like this a lot. It may be that I used a beef concentrate instead of "canned soup broth " but I found it too salty and not a nice taste . I will experiment with the recipe a bit more

Negate ketchup altogether. Made as directed (directions actually leave out ketchup) and family enjoyed it!

Would definitely make again. To make it richer, like disco fries richer...I used an organic beef bone broth concentrate to make my broth. It really kicked up the beefy rich flavor.

I love this gravy!! And so does my family. It has become a Thanksgiving regular now for a couple years

didnt have any dijon mustard so left it out, added another tbsp of flour after mixing all ingredients

omitted the ketchup as one of the ingredients. didn't add additional salt, just pepper. Everyone loved it.

Way too salty and I don’t like adding the condiments.

I was puzzled about the inclusion of ketchup and dijon in a gravy, but thought I would try it. In my family's opinion it was nasty.
