"When I was growing up, we got to pick whatever we wanted to eat for our birthday dinner. I always chose chocolate gravy and biscuits. I usually use store-bought biscuits, but homemade ones are great too!"

  1. Whisk sugar, flour, cocoa, and salt together in a microwave-safe bowl. Whisk in milk and vanilla extract. Microwave on high in 15 to 30-second intervals, whisking between each, until gravy thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 5 minutes total.

  • If there is any gravy left, chill it in the fridge. It makes a rich, think chocolate pudding.
