Blue Cheese-Celery Finger Food

This is a great little appetizer you can whip up in no time especially when there are unannounced guests. I usually have the ingredients on hand. You can garnish the celery pieces with almonds if you like.

  • 1 cup crumbled Roquefort

  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature

  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry

  • 5 celery ribs, cut into 2-inch pieces


  1. Press Roquefort cheese through a sieve. Combine Roquefort cheese, butter, and sherry in a bowl and stir until smooth. Fill cheese mixture into a pastry bag with a star nozzle and fill celery pieces with cheese mixture.

Cook's Notes:

You can also just use a knife to spread the cheese mixture into the celery pieces if you're in a rush.

Substitute another type of blue cheese for the Roquefort if desired.
