Ingredient Checklist

Directions

Instructions Checklist
  • Place chicken in the pot of an electric pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®). Toss in lemon rounds, orange rounds, and garlic; season with salt and pepper. Drizzle olive oil and agave on top. Add red wine and white wine. Cover with water. Add rosemary. Put the lid on the cooker and lock in place.

  • Select the "Meat" and "Stew" settings for high pressure; set the timer for 14 minutes. Cook until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 14 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into a piece of chicken near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Allow pressure to release naturally, about 20 minutes.

Cook's Note:

Use any bone-in chicken parts you prefer.

I was looking for for new recipe for the instant pot and came across this. I followed the directions exactly and my family did not care for this at all. The chicken was bland and the lemon/orange/wine mixture left an acidic flavor. I would suggest sautéing some onions garlic and the lemon/oranges in the olive oil prior to adding the chicken. Then I would substitute honey (& add more than a teaspoon) sweetness to balance out all of the acid. Even adding ginger would give this more flavor. I will not be making this again. Read More

This recipe was good but I think it could have had a little more flavor I think I would just increase the amount of garlic lemon and orange in it. Read More
