  • Simmer balsamic vinegar in a saucepan over low heat until reduced by half and thickened to a glaze, about 10 minutes. Let cool, about 5 minutes.

  • Arrange nectarine halves cut-side up on a baking sheet; season with black pepper.

  • Broil nectarines in the preheated oven until browned, 7 to 8 minutes. Add blue cheese; continue broiling until blue cheese starts to melt, 1 to 2 minutes more.

  • Drizzle balsamic glaze over nectarines.

I struggled with removing the pit from the nectarines. Maybe had they been riper it would have been easier. Out of 4 nectarines that I bought, I was only able to remove the pit from 2. The other 2 the pit came out with most of the fruit sticking to it. As far as the taste, they were ok but I doubt that I would ever make these again. Read More
