Cook's Note:
If you puree the onion, drain off the liquid before adding to salad. This method gives a slightly more intense onion flavor. This is great on bagel chips, crostini, croissants, and in pita pockets.

Very quick and easy to make. I had everything on hand. I enjoyed the little bit of kick this recipe hand instead of the normal chicken salad.

Really good! I love chicken salad and liked the spice this recipe added. Plus not having to cook the chicken was nice. That being said I added a little more mayo because I like it a little more wet but I could have easily eaten it without the extra mayo.

Very good! I was looking for something to use my leftover rotisserie chicken with and this is one of the two recipes I found to use. I stuck with the recipe, except for a couple of Small changes. Used yellow onion, that was what I had on hand and I accidently used 1/4 tsp of crushed red pepper instead of 1/8 but I really don't count as a change. I only had reg. relish not sweet -hot relish. Really enjoyed!

Very tasty! Made this with some leftover rotisserie chicken we had. Had to make a couple of adjustments for ingredients on hand. Didn’t have sweet pickle relish, so I just grated some sweet pickle we had. Also didn’t have red pepper flakes, which is okay, because I don’t like spicy hot stuff. Stirred all the ingredients together and made a sandwich out of it. It was very tasty and my son and sister seemed to really like it as well. I’ll be making this again!

I did make two substitutes but only because that is the ingredients on hand. I used spicy brown mustard and miracle whip. You need to let this set and the flavors meld before eating. I tried it right after making it and it was okay but three hours later it was really good.

Forget everything you know about chicken salad before you try this recipe. It is so full of flavor! It's like an egg salad and a chicken salad had a baby, and they dressed it with a spicy flavorful outfit. It's very good! This recipe's spices did what dill did for tuna salad. It's a total game changer! I did sub the Dijon mustard with whole grain mustard. I also added a bit of garlic powder. I can't wait to try it after the flavors blend. Thanks for the recipe!
