I always have the trout dip at one of my favorite restaurants. I have finally figured out the recipe (or at least my delicious version.) Serve with crusty baguette chips, pita chips, bagel chips, etc.

Made as written and husband loved it. I think it could use a little more seasoning but he said it was perfect as is. I recommend letting it sit overnight to give the different flavors enough time to get acquainted. Read More

This is a delicious recipe! Smoked trout has a more delicate flavor than smoked salmon so you don't want to overpower it with a lot of seasonings. This one is perfect! It does need to sit overnight. Read More

Very good smoked trout dip. It's a bit of a process though if you plan to smoke your own trout. I imagine this would work well with smoked salmon as well. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Read More

I have made this recipe for years. My wife and I catch our own trout, smoke it, then can it to dissolve the small bones and preserve the meat. We make this recipe as is and it is delicious! We have taken it to many social gatherings and it receives nothing but finger licking compliments. I have even had family members ask me to make this recipe for them Christmas gifts. It’s awesome!
