  1. Mix water, bourbon and Gravy Mix in small bowl until well blended. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 10 minutes or until softened and golden brown. Stir gravy mixture into skillet. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Let cool.
  3. Mix sour cream and mayonnaise in medium bowl. Stir in cooled onion mixture. Sprinkle with green onions. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve with chicken fries or chips.

This was by far the best onion dip we've ever had! Very easy to make! Great for snacking and having people over, will be making this from now on!

I love bourbon. I love dips. You can see where I'm going with this... this was super easy to prepare and amazing to consume. The most difficult part of making this was stopping at the liquor ...

I think I would have liked more bourbon flavor, but then again, we're bourbon fiends in this house. As written, it's a really tasty onion dip. I think I might try making it again with the amount...
