  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, with a pastry blender, blend together the margarine, brown sugar and vanilla. Mix in the flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the chocolate chips and if desired, walnuts. Press the mixture into an ungreased 9x13 inch pan. It should press together like a cheesecake crust.
  3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges begin to brown. Cut into bars while still a bit warm. Leave in the pan until completely cool, or the cookies will fall apart.

A great recipe for people allergic to eggs. We love it!

Chocolate chip cookies for dummies! These are so simple and so tasty! Great for kids to make. Wash their hands and let them mix the dough with their fingers. Who needs a pastry blender?

Great recipe for toddlers!

for a quick sugar fix, this is a great recipe but i followed the directions and it came out tasting like play dough with chocolate chips. So in the future, I would cut back on the flour I think.

The name of the recipe is perfect since this crumbles very easily. It tastes like all the broken pieces that fall to the bottom of a bag of cookies. I would have given it 3 stars because I didn'...
