  • Mix flour, salt, and black pepper together in a shallow bowl. Dredge chicken in flour mixture, shaking off excess.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook until browned, about 3 minutes per side. Remove chicken from the skillet. Add onions and garlic; saute until golden, about 3 minutes.

  • Return chicken to the skillet. Add porcini mushrooms; cook and stir until starting to soften, about 3 minutes. Stir in chicken broth, balsamic vinegar, and white wine. Cover and continue cooking over medium-low heat, turning chicken occasionally, until no longer pink in the center and coated with sauce, about 10 minutes.

I used 2 boneless thighs (my husband doesn't like chicken much, especially breast meat) and a boneless breast cutlet(a whole breast is too much for me). I also only used 1 onion, (3 seemed like a lot for the amount of chicken I was cooking)and adjusted the other ingredients down accordingly. It was still way to much onion for that amount of meat and the sauce was just too sweet and kind of bland. We won't make it again. Read More

Delicious and easy! I actually used bone-in chicken thighs and cremini mushrooms instead of porcini. It took a little bit longer to cook but nothing major. The chicken has a great flavor and would go with just about anything (I served it with oven roasted potatoes). Easy enough for a week night dinner too! Thank you! Read More
