Fudgy Chocolate Glaze


This works well on any cake, pours nicely and looks beautiful. This recipe makes enough to glaze one 9x13-inch cake. rnWorks on any cake.

  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar

  • ¼ cup milk

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¼ cup light corn syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Combine confectioner's sugar, milk, vegetable oil, cocoa powder, corn syrup, and vanilla extract together in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until glaze is smooth and hot, 2 to 3 minutes. Do not boil.

Cook's Note:

To get a smooth and even glaze, pour it into a resealable plastic bag, snip off corner, and drizzle over the cake.
