I am not a cauliflower fan but my husband is. I surprised him with this recipe and he was so happy! My 88 yr old mom loved it too.I found this recipe in the Allrecipe’s Mag. I made it exactly as written except I used a cheese blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack. I will remember Gruyere for next time. I imagine it will be even better with that yummy cheese. My only suggestion would be to take care with the immersion blender. I had to pour the sauce into a deep pan to keep from spraying the sauce all over the kitchen.
Was delicious. made to go with grilled chicken. Recipe was great as written, the horseradish gave a kick. When I make it again, i may add some cayenne, but we are spicy eaters. THank you Lori for the recipe!
Made this for Christmas. It s a lot of work for a side especially on a holiday. Even grated my own cheese. Did not feel that it was really worth it. Wish there were instructions if it could be made ahead. I didn t want to take a chance with company coming.
