  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Cut potatoes into wedges; place on prepared baking sheet approximately 1 inch apart. Drizzle with olive oil; sprinkle salt and pepper over wedges.
  3. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and crispy, about 30 minutes.
  4. Combine hot pepper sauce and melted butter in a large bowl with a tight-fitting lid. Add potatoes, cover with lid, and toss to coat evenly. Pour onto serving platter; drizzle with ranch salad dressing.

Footnotes

  • Cook's Notes:
  • The smaller the potato wedge size, the crisper they will become when roasted.
  • Substitute margarine for butter, if desired.
  • Amounts of hot pepper sauce and butter can be adjusted to obtain desired level of spiciness.

My family devoured these. We made two types- one mild and one hot. Super simple and you can easily adjust the heat levels to suit everyone. These will be part of our menu often.

Too much hot sauce..It was waaay too spicy!...The potatoes were soaked in the sauce...Not crispy at all.
