Since rediscovering this recipe in the September/October 2017 issue several months ago, I've made it WEEKLY. Drinking vinegars have been my jam for a few years and I'm elated to have found a recipe that gives me more control over the flavor (though I've made no adjustments to the recipe aside from subbing ground ginger a couple times). For a light and refreshing cocktail, mix together 1.5 ounces of the shrub and 1.5 ounces of gin, then top off the glass with club soda. (A shot glass makes measuring easy since a shot equals 1.5 ounces.) Read More

Delicious! I've made this 3 times and just bought more apples to make another batch. Mix it with Vodka or Rum & soda water and you get a refreshing summer cocktail. Equal parts Alcohol and Shrub add ice and fill with 6-8 ounces soda water and you have low cal, low carb delicious drink. Haven't tried with Rye yet but only 'cause we are out of it. It's also quenching and tasty without the alcohol!! Thanks so much for this great treat Read More
