  1. Combine chicken, sausage, mirepoix mix, diced tomatoes, bell pepper, garlic, Swanson(R) Chicken Broth, Cajun seasoning, thyme, and oregano in a slow cooker. Cook on High until chicken is tender, 4 to 5 hours. Stir occasionally. During the last 30 minutes, add rice and shrimp; stir to combine. Turn off slow cooker.
  2. Let stand, covered, for at least 15 minutes to allow rice to absorb most of the remaining liquid. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

I followed the instructions, exactly, and it was really good. Next time I cook this, once the rice goes in, I need to walk away and not mess with it until it's done... I was stirring it too muc...

Made exactly as described and was perfect for the entire family. Very easy to make and was a huge hit. Not to spicy for the little ones and easy to add hot sauce or old bay to taste!

I made this exactly as the recipe other than I cooked my rice separate and spooned the mixture over rice. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely will make this again!
