  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Beat butter and sugar with electric mixer in large bowl until fluffy. Beat in corn syrup, egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour, baking soda and salt until combined.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 1 to 2 minutes on pan; remove from pan to wire rack.

Very good recipe. Although I did make one change. Instead of butter I used 3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco and 1-1/2 TBSP. water. My husband says it's a keeper!

Best soft cookie recipe I've found. Also a bit light/fluffy so it's slightly cakier than a traditional chocolate chip cookie.

So soft and yet chewy. I've searched a long time for a chocolate chip cookie that suits my picky sweet tooth. This is it! I didn't change a thing, only added some pecans as that's an addition...

Husband approved! I found a new chocolate chip recipe. Nice fluffy recipes. So good! I made it exactly the way it is listed too.

I don't think I've added Karo syrup to a cookie recipe before... I was about 1/8 of a cup short of Karo, to I topped it off with molasses, which I was sure would over-power everything else. But ...

These cookies are awesome! Soft and filled with chocolate chip goodness! I've actually made them several times. A definite keeper!
