  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Beat butter and sugar with electric mixer in large bowl until fluffy. Beat in corn syrup, egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour, baking soda and salt until combined.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
  5. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 1 to 2 minutes on pan; remove from pan to wire rack.

Very good recipe. Although I did make one change. Instead of butter I used 3/4 cup butter flavored Crisco and 1-1/2 TBSP. water. My husband says it's a keeper!
