  • Place steak into a casserole dish and season with salt and black pepper.

  • Whisk cola-flavored beverage, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, chili powder, salt, mustard, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl; pour over steak.

  • Marinate steak in the refrigerator, at least 1 hour to overnight.

In my experience with it (I don't think I cooked the meat completely correctly) the sauce actually worked just as well for steak sauce. Tasted much like an on brand steak sauce most would know if mentioned. Only slightly off from that recipe and made basically a quart of it at one time. Was Very excited to learn this! Read More

I doubled the recipe for two pieces, 1.3 and 1.7lbs respectively. Placed them in a square, flat Corning dish for 2hrs, rotating and turning once at 1hr. Set on separate platters for 10 or 15mins.
