Dairy-Free Almond Joy® Hot Chocolate


This is a delicious, dairy free hot chocolate that is easy to make and taste just like traditional dairy hot chocolate. I used coconut-almond milk mix for a coconut taste, but you could definitely use any non-dairy milk.

  • 1 cup coconut-almond milk blend

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 ½ teaspoons maple syrup

  • 1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 splash vanilla extract

  • 1 pinch salt


  1. Stir coconut-almond milk blend, cocoa powder, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt together in a saucepan over medium heat; stir with a whisk to dissolve solids while the mixture heats to your desired temperature.


Cook's Notes:

For an even sweeter drink, increase brown sugar amount to 2 tablespoons.

For a thicker, creamier beverage, add a splash of dairy-free creamer.
