It was important for me to use ingredients I liked because I won't eat or drink it if I don't like the taste. I needed it to be just the right consistency and smoothness. I serve them in a 16 oz. double-walled cup. For a smoother taste, first grind up the rolled oats.

I thought the addition of oats was interesting which lead me to make this for my morning smoothie. The taste combination is good but did not really POP! And as for me oats are just not my thing. I tried them whole which did not work as I could not get by the lumpiness. The second time I tried this I took the suggestion to blend the oats. Much better but I still found the texture chalky.
