  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 3-quart casserole dish.
  2. Stir chicken broth, rice, cream of chicken soup, and water together with a whisk in the prepared casserole dish until smooth; add Cheddar cheese, season with salt and pepper, and stir.
  3. Lie pork chops into the rice mixture in a single layer; season with more black pepper.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until rice in the middle of the dish is tender and pork chops are golden brown, about 80 minutes.

Footnotes

  • Cook's Note:
  • You can try adding a 4 ounce can of green chiles, a few sliced mushrooms, or some broccoli florets for starters!
  • Of course you can substitute the broth and soup with any flavor.
  • American cheese is a good substitute for Cheddar cheese.
  • This also works well with chicken filets as the meat.

It lacked depth of flavor. I even added grated onions and bell pepper and it still wasn't that flavorful. I did make it with smoked pork chops because it's what I had. I'm not sure if that affec...

I only gave it a 4 star because there was nothing about it to give it flavor. I added 2 onions, a clove of garlic and salt free CAVENDEK'S seasoning. It did not need any salt. That made it a 5 s...

This was amazing! I doubled the recipe and put in a 13 x 9 pan for a family of 6 and used Sharp Cheddar instead of American cheese. sooooo good, the pickiest kid alive ate it!

This was just ok for me. The rice had a great flavor and was a hit with the family. The pork chops were bland. I will try this recipe again adding additional seasoning to it.

I added 1 chopped leak, 3 cloves chopped garlic, a couple of handfuls of fresh spinach, and used mushroom soup. Seasoned with sea salt and pepper and cooked at 350 for ONE HOUR. Sprinkled some p...

I loved this! since the first time I've made a few variations! My first was a chicken cheesy rice, I used cream of celery, chicken broth, canned chicken, and mozzarella cheese. so good! My husba...

Very easy. You put everything together and put it in the oven. You do need to add your own spices or it could be bland. I will make it again.

It was delicious- easy to fix ! My family loved it.
