Argentinean Skirt Steaks

LauraT

"This is the most requested main dish in my house. Everyone loves it and that is a rare thing indeed! These steaks are almost too simple to believe and they turn out great every single time. So tender and flavorful - you just can't mess them up! The adobo seasoning is quite salty, so keep that in mind as you season the steaks."

  • Prep

  • Cook

  • Ready In

  1. Season skirt steak pieces all over with adobo seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steak in hot oil and butter, turning often, until steak begins to firm, and is reddish-pink and juicy in the center, 6 to 8 minutes.

Footnotes

  • Cook's Note:
  • I usually end up popping them in the microwave on a microwaveable serving platter for another minute or two to prevent over-browning, yet assuring that they are done all the way through.

I appreciate the warning about the adobo seasoning. I do use adobo, but sparingly as it is laden w/ sodium. I couldn't see myself adding more (salt) to the steak - for a quick steak this was eas...

Sort of bland, I've lived in Argentina and am looking for a spicier recipe.

this is my legit go to now for steaks. I hardly make any other kind! I don't change anything. it's sooo yummy and tender as is!

Awesome recipe. Tasted great and will definitely make again. Used "Traci's Adobo seasoning". Made extra to try on different meats.

I'm very happy with this. Honestly it's my new favorite way to make steak, and even when I overcook it to medium-well, it's still super tender and flavorful. It might not have a crazy twist or b...

I made it with Chimichurri sauce for flavor. Try that next time.
