Instructions Checklist
  • Combine butter and eggnog together in a saucepan over medium-low heat until heated through, about 1 minute. Pour butter mixture into a bowl and add confectioners' sugar. Beat mixture with an electric mixer until frosting is smooth, 3 to 5 minutes. Add milk if frosting is too thick, beating until desired consistency is reached.

Cook's Note:

The eggnog flavor is strong in this recipe, even with only using 2 tablespoons. If you like an even stronger eggnog flavor, just substitute the whole milk with more eggnog.

Made this and it's so good! I added just a tad more eggnog (almond milk eggnog) rather than milk for a little more flavor. Used with sugar cookies and spiced almonds. Read More

I made this as written but added some freshly grated nutmeg to enhance the eggnog flavour. It set up very nicely. Next time I think I will decrease the butter a little and add more eggnog and nutmeg. If this were thinned out it would make a great glaze for any type of spiced cake or bread. Overall it was very good and I will definitely make this again. Read More
