Smoked Sausage & Mushroom Pasta Marinara

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Saute sausage and mushrooms in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Add marinara sauce and simmer over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese. Add pasta to sauce and toss.

  • For added fresh flavor, garnish with chopped oregano and basil, or toasted garlic breadcrumbs.

This is a great dish for crazy weekday nights. It tastes great, easy and fast. For a fifteen minute dinner, it's not going to be perfect but I will definitely make this again.

My family continues to love this easy and fast dinner! I can't wait to try some of the other recipes by Hillshire.
