  • Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks in large bowl. Combine sweetened condensed milk, pecans, butter and maple extract in large bowl. Mix well. Fold in whipped cream.

  • Pour into 9x5-inch loaf pan or 2-quart container; cover. Freeze 6 hours or until firm. Store in freezer.

Tips

*To toast nuts: Place nuts in dry nonstick skillet. Cook over medium heat, shaking pan until nuts are lightly browned. To avoid over browning remove from pan immediately.

This was the best creation I have ever made, right after my children. SUPER easy, WAY TOO delicious and haven't stopped crying since it's been gone. I'm making more today, but I will be making a double batch. (I use Irish Kerygold butter and only organic, all natural syrup. Of course I toasted the pecans too.) Don't say I didn't warn you. Eagle Brand just came out with caramel sweetened condensed milk. I made this using it and it was incredible. You must use heavy cream, anything with less fat will NOT beat well. Read More

Simply put, this is the best ice cream I have ever tasted. I have tried all sorts of recipes, but always come back to this one. I like doubling the toasted pecans and adding heath or homemade butter-cookie dough chunks. Perfection. Read More

I followed the recipe exactly and was surprised at how quickly it came together. It’s creamy and delicious, but a little sweet for my taste. I will figure out a way to mitigate the sweetness because butter pecan is my favorite. I had fresh pecans from this fall’s harvest and I toasted them as recommended.
