  • Stir chicken, yogurt, onion, cotija cheese, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper together in a large bowl. Gently fold avocado into chicken mixture until salad is evenly distributed. Stir lime juice, salt, and cumin into salad.

Microwave lime for 10 to 15 seconds and use a fork to juice it. You'll get the pulp and so much more juice.

This is a wonderful twist on chicken salad! I did add a touch of mayo to cut the 'blah' of the Greek yogurt and I had to omit the cheese b/c I had none on hand. I served this on pita w/ some extra cilantro and an extra squirt of lime YUM! It's a keeper...Thanks for sharing.:) Read More

I made this recipe and added the 2 Tbs of mayo like other reviewers said. I also did twice the avocado it calls for and added garlic and a red bell pepper. we ate this on tostadas with homemade salsa on top and it was delicious!!! definitely will be making again. Read More

This was SUPER yummy. The only thing that could have made it better would be a clove of garlic. Everyone in my family gobbled it down even my kids who were a little leary at first. We served it over a green salad instead of in pita. Read More
