Recipes Breakfast and Brunch Drinks Purple Power Punch Smoothie (My Kids' Fave) 4.6 (5) 4 Reviews 2 Photos This is my go-to smoothie of choice. My kids (all 4) absolutely love it for the flavor as well as the purple color. It's fun, easy, and the kids can even help out! Feel free to add or subtract any of the fruit, honey, or sugar to your taste preference. Recipe by Jamie Nold Williams Published on June 18, 2020 Save Saved! Add ice, sugar, and honey and blend until smooth. Cook's Notes: Local honey helps with allergies. Being a nurse and mother who has 4 kids with allergies, this is important to me. Whey protein is awesome and since we drink our smoothies as a meal replacement for breakfast or lunch, it is important to add protein. It also helps to thicken and smooth the drink. For a thinner smoothie, use 1/2 to 3/4 cup regular milk instead of the powdered milk and water. For a thicker smoothie, use more powder- either protein powder or powdered milk. Only add 1 tablespoon at a time and blend. Then, check consistency again.
