"This is an Italian dessert that goes great with pasta. As the name suggests, it's a crazy combination but surprisingly excellent. Someone always asks me for the recipe when I make it. Be sure to use a good quality balsamic vinegar with this dish or you will not have as good results."

  1. Mix balsamic vinegar, sugar, and black pepper together in a bowl. Add strawberries and stir to coat; marinate in refrigerator until chilled, about 10 minutes. Grate chocolate over top as a garnish.

I've made variations of this for years. It's even more refreshing if you partially freeze the strawberries before you dress them. It's really great on a hot afternoon by the pool.

Awesome dish! I have made this for my granddaughters teacher luncheon and it was a tremendous hit! I have to say, it is an odd combination but a combo that truly does go well together.
