Stroka's Steak Marinade


You can enjoy delicious steaks when you prepare them with this simple, yet mouth-watering, marinade.

  • cup soy sauce

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • cup brown sugar

  • cup fresh lemon juice

  • cup Worcestershire sauce

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tablespoons hot sauce (Optional)

  • 3 tablespoons dried basil

  • 1 ½ tablespoons dried parsley

  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes (Optional)

  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper


  1. Blend soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, hot sauce, basil, parsley, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a blender until smooth.

Cook's Notes:

Pour marinade over meat. Cover and refrigerate for 3 to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.

If you wish to baste with the marinade, boil the marinade in order to destroy any harmful bacteria it may have picked up from the raw meat.
