This is a great twist on a traditional guacamole. Serve chilled with tortilla chips or you can even use it as a spread. It is absolutely delicious and one of my favorite snacks.

  • Stir mashed avocado, chives, cilantro, garlic, and lime juice together in a bowl; stir in black beans, Romano cheese, tomatoes, and cayenne pepper. Refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve.

You can add more or less of any ingredient to suit your taste. I use Romano cheese because it is strong and flavorful, but you can use any cheese you like.

Green onions can be substituted for chives.

Very good! I used green onions in place of the chives and less cayenne than called for (didn't want it TOO spicy). Great texture and loved the 'different' flavor. I really liked the addition of the Romano cheese. A nice take on guacamole...I will be making this again! Thanks for sharing.:) Read More
