  1. Stir apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a large saucepan. Pour rum into apple mixture and stir until apples are evenly coated and a thick sauce forms.
  2. Bring apple mixture to a boil over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until apples are soft, about 20 minutes. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Good Stuff, except Famous Dave's uses Amaretto not spiced rum

Only made half a recipe. Wish I had made more! Only had regular rum which worked fine. Next time I think I'll peel the apples. I served it along side a breakfast casserole Christmas morning....

Absolutely a drunken apples replica! I added a little more sugar and cinnamon. These are great! Should have made a double batch. My husband went through them quickly!

I doubled the run and cinnamon, added a tablespoon of butter and drizzled the dish with caramel sauce. It was totally delicious, and so easy that I'm already planning he next time I make it.

Awesome quick yummy sidedish. My hubby & I both loved it. Definitely a keeper!
