  1. Combine chicken broth, chicken, carrots, apple, onion, celery, Parmesan cheese, and bay leaf together in a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer until vegetables are soft, about 30 minutes.
  2. Stir orzo into broth mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, until orzo is cooked through but firm to the bite, about 11 minutes.

Made as written except my apple of choice was a granny smith. I like the tartness of them. This soup was good but I do feel it could use some herbs . I added seasoned salt as well after tasting....

haven't made this yet but I'm going to try but recommendation : always separate your pasta from the soup as it absorbs most of the liquid not combine
