Cider Donut Bread Pudding

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix doughnuts and apple together in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Whisk half-and-half, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Pour half-and-half mixture over donuts and apples in the baking dish. Let sit until liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden, about 30 minutes. Cool and drizzle with maple syrup.

I made this for a cat rescue potluck. It was easy to make and everybody liked it. We usually have a ton of leftovers at our potlucks, but people were scraping out my bowl when I made this.

Great use of stale apple cider donuts. Next time, I’ll add a bit more half-and-half to make it moister and bake 10 more minutes to achieve a golden crust.

This was a quick and easy recipe, next time we visit the orchard, I'll grab and extra dozen of apple cider donuts for sure.
